In the 18 years that I have been working at Zachys I have caught very few glimpses of “perfection”!! What is a perfect wine by the way??
According to Websters Perfect means:
According to professional wine critics (Wine Spectator, The Wine Advocate, James Suckling, etc.) wines are judged as kids are in school…on the 100 point scale. So to receive a PERFECT 100 rating must mean that the wine is FLAWLESS and PERFECT…at least according to THAT critic’s palate.
I am a TRUE lover of Barolo and a HUGE fan of the 2007 vintage and was very intrigued when I saw the following Barolo review yesterday….
I was so intrigued that I went out and bought a few cases in Italy that are on their way to the store this Winter. I feel the best way to see if I also think this is PERFECTION is to taste for myself and create my own opinion. Quite frankly, people should always create their own opinion of what they like and what they think is perfect.
It’s not often that these 100 pointers come along so I found this to be the perfect opportunity to address the topic.
